We undertake a full refurbishment the wheel all our prices include removal and collection of the wheel and the opposite procedure. If its easier for you, you can bring your wheels to us without the tyres, or leave the tyres on and or we can strip and refit the tyres and re-balance the wheels before we return them back to you.
The wheels are then gently blasted by hand to make sure that we remove all previous layers of lacquer and paint to obtain the smoothest surface in preparation for coating. If the wheels are in a bad condition we may then chemically strip them before hand blasting,
The wheels are then prepared, dresses and in bad cases sometimes welded to deal with any major damage. Air within the alloy wheel structure needs to be removed and gently treated then the wheels are ready for the first stage of the powder coating and curing in Stage 1.
The wheels are then subjected to further thermal treatment and then the Powder Laquer is applied... then its back in the over for a final cure. The addition of the lacquer coat i added to protect the alloy wheel against external influences and these include salt, brake dust, moisture and dirt as well as to enhance the finish. We also use different lacquer finished to help with the protection and you can choose from Matt, Satin or Gloss.
All finishes are guaranteed for 12 months against flaking, corrosion and discolouration.
